Flight

One nice thing about being about 14 pounds is transportability. Although self-transport options are limited (a 90 degree roll from side to back), assisted transport possibilities are almost endless. Just add a larger human (dad) and you can turn a regular, everyday, homemade ice cream factory into a fantastic amusement park. Notice the happy drool around 23 seconds

Reading a baby's mind is not always easy. If all else fails, baby may be bored, and that might mean a round trip flight around the house is in order.

STEPS:
1. Place baby straddled on forearm, hand supporting chest. Baby should be well-supported and balanced.
2. Walk around the house. Two hands may be used. Stop when tired.

CAUTION:
As with all things 'dad,' don't be stupid.

How you doin'

The capacity for meaningful human communication across gender lines peaks in infancy, as can be seen here. Despite a 3.5 month age gap, these two are obviously on the same page. There is a comfortable synergy here ranging from such basic similarities as culinary preference to a shared point-of-view regarding metaphysical topics, particularly skepticism toward the nature of free will.

Shortly after this period of life males and females become foreigners to one another, destined for eternal obscurity regarding one another, perhaps to acquire some semblance of connection by coincidence, but only as two ships passing silently in a dark, foggy night.
